Do people trade on this forum?

I'm fairly new here - but been a fairly serious gold bullion investor for the last decade.
I am curious if people trade on this forum - just 1 for 1.

eg in Australia its ridiculoulsy easy to get kangaroo (gold and silver), kookaburras (silver up to 1kilo), and Australian Bullion Company 1oz - 1kilo gold/silver bars.

But it's alot hard to get hold of eagles and maples. It would be good if someone would be willing to swap 6 gold eagles for 6 gold kangaroos. or swap 20 kookaburras for 20 eagles.

*NB Please do not make this into an arguement on what is worth more or less - essentially I'm asking if its something that is done on this thread. A worthwhile deal only depends on the 2 ppl anyway - depending on your collection, needs, year, whats important to you etc etc.

Thanks in advance.

Here in the States, it actually doesn't cost much more (if any) to get Australian coins. No shortage of any coins here. Perhaps you can search for a dealer in Australia that can get you Eagles and Maples. Shouldn't be very hard, just go to a big dealer.

Here in Singapore there is no shortage on the type of gold we can lay our hands on(nugget, maple, eagle, krug are the same price) and can be bought from 1 major bank. however for silver its a different story, the bank don't sells it, only silver accounts and cannot be converted to physical (does this act as a further proof on the shortage of silver???).

This link is the bank's daily price updates:

selling price for PHYSICAL metal includes 5% tax.

We get silvers either from coin shop dealers who usually charge very high premium or the occasional bargain on local online auction scene.

be careful whom you engage in trade. i have a PENDING trade here with someone (AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE). some of my silver rounds for a south african shrunken head. i have completed MY end of the bargain but there is, at the very least, a BIG delay on his end. i wish you luck.

thanks for the tip guys.
i will check out the link, I guess I didnt think there would be so many dishonest ppl on here.

I guess you could put a private auction on ebay for $1 limited to one bidder - that way its a trade "covered by ebay" - but then again if someone is going to rip you off - they wouldnt care ebay or not. Or at best ebay will re-imburse you the $1 in credits!!
